Sisters of the Quilt~The Complete Trilogy~By Cindy Woodsmall

An extremely captivating book that will have you guessing what will happen on the next page!  Hannah Lapp, becomes estranged from her family and bravely leaves the only home and community she's ever known.  She also leaves her only love, Paul, whom she happens to be engaged to.  Hannah tries to reach Paul before leaving on the train but someone has other ideas for Paul and never tells him about the calls from Hannah.  As she goes in search of an aunt that has been shunned by the Amish, she has many problems, some almost leading to her death.  With the help of one of her doctors, she finds her aunt and leaves the hospital with Aunt Lasbeth.  They go to her tiny plain home and live happily there for two years, where she falls in love with Martin but then tragedy strikes again when the cancer comes back on Aunt Lasbeth.  After Lasbeth's death, Martin and Hannah became engaged.  During this time, Hannah has been going to school to become a nurse.

Martin has a drug and alcohol addict for a sister who has two children.  Gena and Martin go to rehab for her problem, but in the end, Gena brings the children to Hannah and leaves them then disappears.  Martin and Hannah begin raising the children as if they were their own.  They try to put some stability in the little ones lives and eventually they do.

Due to an illness, Hannah is called back home to Owl Perch.  This doesn't set well with Martin but he agrees for Hannah to go.  As Hannah goes back and forth to Owl Perch, she and Paul work together and grow closer.  They both try to fight the feelings they are feeling but they are just too strong.  The more Hannah and Paul are thrown together the deeper their love grows.

Hannah goes back to Martin but they realize that too much has happened and they have grown apart in their love.

In the end all the lies and deceit come out.  Paul and Hannah marry and begin a happy life.  You will really enjoy these books.  They make a wonderful retreat from one world into another world full of the Amish and Mennonite people.

This book contains all three of Cindy's Sisters of the Quilt books, When The Heart Cries, When The Morning Comes and When The Soul Mends  in one big book.
