Prayers

Please pray for all those affected by natural disasters and those working to help them.  There are wildfire, tornado, drought, heat and flood victims who need our prayers.  The firemen working to put the fires out  need our prayers.  Those affected by drought need our prayers.  There are so many in this world that have been put out one way or another and need our prayers, the homeless, the lost, the sick, the needy just to name a few.  The military needs our prayers also.  They are working in full gear in all this heat.  Please stop and say a prayer for them.  Just take a few minutes out of your day to pray for those less fortunate than you.  My prayer for all this day is that they will be protected and kept safe from harm.  May God be with you and bless you all.

Wonderful Wednesday

It has been another beautiful but HOT day here. Our high was predicted to be 94*F but ended up being 102*F. Thank the Lord, we recieved rain this afternoon and it has cooled off to 83*F at 7:40 p.m.

Update on my best friend and her family, they are all home from the hospital and doing as well as can be expected.

This afternoon a migrane hit me hard and I had to go to bed. My DS's GF cooked spaghetti, potato salad, and garlic bread for supper. I am so thankful she did because I couldn't even see straight. My head is feeling some better now.

Please continue your prayers for Jerry(DH), his bag hasn't leaked and he's feeling better today. I thank the Lord for each of you and your prayers. That's about it for now, take care. Be blessed!

Tuesday Afternoon

It has been a very HOT day here. The high was 98* but has cooled off to 85* now(7:36 p.m.) and clouded over. We are praying for rain.

Today, I snapped and canned 5 quarts of green beans. I picked 2 ripe tomatoes off our vines(we've just got some in pots) and a bell pepper. I snapped and canned 2 quarts of green beans on Saturday night, I also put 2 quarts of cabbage and a quart of chopped bell peppers in the freezer. If it doesn't get eat tomorrow, I'll be freezing squash too. I am so thankful for all the vegetables I've been getting. We don't have space for a garden, but my mom has been sending me veggies and I am so happy and thankful to get them.

I also cooked supper tonight, pork chops, butterbeans, and au gratin potatoes. The house is finally beginning to cool off. We don't eat out very often, maybe once every two to three months. Cooking at home is just much cheaper.

Still praying for my best friend and her family. Hopefully they will get home soon.

We had birthday parties for 2 of my DGD this past weekend. One was at McDonald's on Saturday afternoon(brought her home, she spent the night and went to church with us Sunday) the other was on Sunday afternoon. The one on Sunday had a big inflateable water slide, the kids stayed cool but the rest of us were hot!LOL The temp got up to 101* on Sunday afternoon.

I hope you will all continue to pray for us spiritually and financially. DH still needs prayers for healing as he now has 3 open holes in his abdomen and a 4th one trying to burst open. He is in a great deal of pain even though he's on pain meds.

Guess that's about it for now. Be Blessed!

Thankful Thursday

I am so thankful for this day God has seen fit to give me. It's been a very busy day, but "idle hands are the devil's workshop right"? I've cleaned, washed, and put out fliers for our church fish fry for our building fund. We are trying to finish the inside of our Fellowship Hall. We were blessed with a generous donation that has built most of it but still not enough to finish it. If anyone has any fund raising ideas, please don't be afraid to share them. We are just a small country church so there aren't that many of us. I have thought of doing a bake sale but that hasn't been run by the church members yet.

I am also thankful to God for helping me through everything I've been going through the past few weeks. My DH was in the hospital, almost at the point of death, but God directed the dr's hands and minds to do what needed to be done. DH had to have 3 units of blood, was severly dehydrated, and his blood sugar was 575(he takes pills and insulin for his diabetes). Thanks be to God that his blood sugar is down in the normal range now, he's staying hydrated, and his hemoglobin hasn't dropped but 2 points since he got out of the hospital. DH had a lot of people praying for him and I ask that people continue to pray for him.

My best friend has a heavy burden to bear and I pray that everyone will pray for her. I also ask that you would all pray for my children that they might be saved. Pray for me that I might stay on the path God has chosen for me. Thank you to all of you. Be Blessed!

Calling All Prayer Warriors

Please be in prayer for my great-nephew Landen. He was born on June 30, 2010 and is now in the hospital with a UTI infection(the drs have no idea how or why he has that), fluid on his kidneys, a hole in his heart, and a heart murmur. He is gaining weight though so that's a good thing I think. He's been in the Children's Hospital in Jackson, MS since Friday night. He has gained 1/2 lb. since he was admitted. Landen doesn't seem to be in any pain except for the diarrhea the strong antibiotics have given him. The dr's are going to do a reflux test on his kidneys tomorrow(July 21, 2010). He has a big sister at home that's just 13 months old who doesn't understand what's going on. She's asking for her mommie and baby. Please pray for all of them. Jamie(daddy) came home today(July 20th) to go back to work. Please keep this young family in your prayers. I know they will appreciate them all. Thank you in advance. I will definitely tell them about all of you praying for them. Be Blessed! Hugs!!!

Prayers for Landen Please

My little great nephew, Landen, was taken to the ER on Friday night. His temp was 101.3*F, but his white blood count was 27,800. They transfered him to a children's hospital in Jackson. The dr's in Jackson did a spinal tap, bloodwork, and a uranalys(SP) on him. The spinal tap came back with clear spinal fluid but the bloodwork and uranalys(SP) won't be in until Monday. Landen is almost 3 wks old, he was born on June 30, 2010. Please pray for him and his mommy, daddy and big sister. We are all so worried about him but I have been praying and I just feel that God is going to heal him. I ask that all of you also pray for Landen, Casie, Jamie, and Lily. Lily is only 13 months old and doesn't understand what's going on with her family. She stayed with us Friday night through today. She went to church with us and you couldn't ask for a child to be any better than she was. Anyway, please pray for the dr's to find out what's wrong with Landen and a way to heal him. Thank you in advance so much for your prayers! Be Blessed! Hugs!

Prayer Request

I come to you all asking that you pray for peace, contentment, and most of all salvation for my youngest son. Also that he and Amanda can get things worked out and he can see Taylor again. He hasn't seen him since the 6th of May. I can't go into all the details but I do thank each of you for your prayers.

Prayer Request

Amanda went back to the dr last week, the 25th and they did another ultrasound. The dr found a spot of fluid on his(the baby's) brain. She goes to see a specialist on Dec. 7th, next Monday then back to her regular dr on Wednesday. They said it could go away or it could get worse, we don't know what it means if it gets worse. We're all just praying for a healthy baby without any problems. I'll let ya'll know what we find out as soon as we find out something definite. Jay(DS) went out and bought a carseat/infant carrier this afternoon. He also bought a daddy's little slugger outfit and an I love daddy blanket. He is so excited over this baby, so is Amanda. I just pray we have a healthy baby without any problems. Thank each and everyone of you for your prayers for us. We need all we can get.

I'm sorry I haven't posted this earlier but my bookmarks all disappeared and I couldn't find my blog.

We had our Thanksgiving meal and a surprise 70th birthday party for my MIL on Sunday the 29th. Almost all the family was there and we all had a good time. I guess I'd better be off now. Be Blessed! Hugs!!

Prayer Request

I have a very dear friend who lives in Maine that lost her husband yesterday. Her name is Donna-Marie Folk, John Folk, Sr. was her husband, they had been married 46 years. He's been sick for a while and died yesterday afternoon. She's taking it very hard. I just ask that you keep her in your prayers for comfort, peace, and understanding. She realizes John, Sr. isn't suffering anymore but she is still very upset as you can imagine. Thank you for your prayers. Be Blessed! Hugs!!!
